Full course description
This course uses Christian spiritual principles along with therapeutic counseling interventions to help students identify and process anger emotions that span from irritation to rage. There are no prerequisites for this class. No materials other than internet access are required. A combination of online readings, lectures, and videos will be utilized for content presentation. Students will work through four course modules at their own pace. Grading will be performed on a pass/fail scale. Students will interact with classmates and instructor through group discussion board forums. Participants must contribute to discussions in each module to pass the course. Goals for this course include learning practical, psychological, and faith-based interventions for effective anger management. Upon successful completion of this course, students will gain knowledge about biblical directives for anger, assess levels of forgiveness readiness, learn how to release anger through forgiveness therapy and prayer, adopt a constructive and peaceful attitude toward common irritants, and acquire skills to help themselves and others process and heal from anger. Certificates of completion will be awarded upon conclusion of the final discussion board.
